INDIANAPOLIS -- Sept. 26, 2008 -- Aircom Manufacturing continues to enhance its machining capabilities with recent space expansion of its Machining Department to handle increasing customer demand, particularly in the medical device industry.

"As we moved the department into the new space, we were able to reconfigure our machine layouts to improve product work flow," said Plant Manager Bob Pratt, who oversees the Machining Department. The expanded production floor space was also needed for recent machining equipment purchases.

Most recently, Aircom enhanced existing turning functions by acquiring new multiple-tool, 4-axis CNC turning machinery. Aircom's machining capabilities also include multiple-axis CNC milling centers, wire EDMs, Ram EDMs and grinding operations. In addition, Aircom's water jet and laser cutting machines supplement traditional machining operations.

Aircom's President, Ron Lyon said, "As a premier contract manufacturer, Aircom is dedicated to using the most state-of-the-art technology and continuing to grow our Machining Department to adeptly meet our customers' demands."

Aircom Manufacturing, Inc. provides "Total Package" capabilities as an ISO-9001-certified company, offering a complete range of manufacturing processes. For more information, please visit
